Joshua Makes Koff-Koff

I am happy to introduce our first "guest blog" post here on Bountiful Butterflies. This post is brought to you by my dad, otherwise known as Grandpa B.

Take it away, Grandpa...

Joshua has learned to be a barista, making cups of espresso for his Grandpa B. He calls it koff-koff (coffee) and has the whole process down pat.

First he needs for the tool (stool) to be placed up by the counter. He has been able to pick it up from where it was standing and unfold it in front of the bathroom counter, where the capsule espresso machine sits, but lately, he wants it placed for him. Then he opens the drawer that has the capsules in it and selects one. Then he climbs up the stool to reach the machine.

Next he lifts the lid/handle and drops the capsule into place.

Then he pulls the handle down to puncture the capsule and fetches the espresso cup to place it under the spout.

Then he pushes the start button for the espresso to start streaming into the cup.

He waits for Grandpa to tell him when to push the button again to turn it off.
Then Grandpa moves the cup away (so it won't spill) for Josh to again lift the handle to eject the used capsule.
Then he climbs down off the stool and Grandpa enjoys his freshly made cup of espresso.
One day, the stool was in another part of the house, so Grandpa made his own cup, and Joshua got quite upset that he hadn't been asked to do it.
Maybe someday he's going to own his own Starbucks store!!
