Potty Training Boot Camp - Day 2

Not a whole lot to report because the day went so well. Josh never told us he needed to go potty because he would just go sit down when he needed to. This makes me a little concerned about when we do start putting pants on him, but I know it's just a matter of learning that next phase.

We did our outing this afternoon to Starbucks. We just put shorts on Josh with no diaper. He stayed dry the whole time. There was a little concern on the way back though. Josh wanted to walk so it was slow going heading home. About one-third of the way back Josh stopped walking and said "pee-pee". Oh, great. What do we do now? I scooped him up to try to walk home faster but he wanted to walk. I reminded him that he needed to try to stay dry. Amazingly we made it home without any hint of an incident.

It was a little while after we got home before he did go potty, so I'm not really sure he had to go when he said so on the walk. But at least he communicated it.

Tomorrow we're supposed to do two outings. It's a little funny to wait for him to go pee so that we can scoop him up to head out. We're hoping the morning outing can be a picnic lunch. Not sure what the afternoon will be.
